Our dovetail benches are made from a single slab of solid oak. Each slab is cut to length, then the legs are then cut off either end, this way you get the continuous grain that runs all the way around the bench. This beautiful and simplistic looking bench is designed to highlight the natural beauty of the wood and the age old dovetail joinery that is used to make it.
These benches are made from green oak, so as the the oak slowly dries over time the joints will tighten around each other giving a bench that will last a lifetime. For more information on green oak please have a read of our timbers page.

All of our furniture is bespoke and handmade to order. The depth and height dimensions stated are to a design that we have found optimum for maximum comfort without using material wastefully. The lengths stated are standard lengths for benches and are there as a guide and for ease of purchase, but these can be made to any length you would like for an extra cost. As all of our furniture is made to order we can make these benches to any dimensions you would like, the only limit is the size of timber we can get. If you would like the same design but deeper or taller or both just get in contact for a quote.
Standard delivery for this item is £40 to UK mainland addresses but a reduced local rate and a multiple item delivery are available. Or you can collect to save on the delivery costs. For any other delivery questions including international, please get in contact.
